Next Metal Gear not PS3 Exclusive ?
A small flash animation was shown at the next Konami production facility. It shows a short 15 other animation with Konami logo and mixed equation, which includes 360 titles. It was wild speculation that this could mean that any of the 360 has a port for MGS4. Or that the next Metal Gear may no longer hold exclusive title to his name. The idea of establishing the port has been strengthened and many people there have been previous average of 6 months of exclusive places, but as Konami with Metal Gear Sold series history can continue at 360. Konami later began to receive large amounts of e-mails from their users try to enter the port or the new multi-title is imminent. Konami does not comment on any of these issues.

PS3 NES Emulator Update
Apparently the last version posted (PS3 NES Emulator Thru BD-J Hack) was actually an old version of the emulator and a newer and better build is available. Installation is the same. Controls are almost the same; instead of pressing 3 you press the red square to go back to the rom-list. But the display of games on screen has been upgraded. The games are now displayed at fullscreen in 16:9 display and look wonderful! Really brings back memories.
How to install:
- Extract the folders and place the folder "AVCHD" into the root of a USB storage device (ex: memory stick, psp, etc..)
- Copy your NES roms into the folder "AVCHD".
- Go over to the video section on your XMB and press X on the said device.
- Once inside you'll see what appears to be a video called "AVCHD". Run it and then select your game.
- The game will begin load. For controls, press the square button for B and press the X button for A. Press the triangle button to bring up the PS3's video options menu; press 1 for select and 2 for the start button. To return to the rom-list menu, press the red square icon in the video options menu.

Filer PS3 you can browse. jpg, .png and GIF image files with the Blu-ray Disc Java hack. But the best part of the PS3 Filer is also emulates the Nintendo Entertainment System. Play NES Roms in the playstation 3. Sound does not work.
1. Download the PS3 Filer here. and If the file not work, please use this one Download
2. Extract the AVCHD folder root of a flash Memory Device.
3. Place the roms into the AVCHD folder.
4. Go to the Video section in the XMB on your PS3.
5. Browse the contents of the Memory Stick.
6. Select the AVCHD file.
7. PS3 Filer will boot up and it will bring you to the filer browser.
8. Select the NES Rom to start the game.
9. Press the triangle button and go to the numeric pad. 1 is Select, and 2 is Start.
10. Press the triangle button again to play Nintendo on your PS3.

November release - 160GB model announced for America $499
160 GB model announced today in Leipzig in America reached a new package with last year's successful PS3 exclusive unexplored. For $ 499, 160 GB system includes a new system to 160 GB, the driver DUALSHOCK 3, voucher for pain and a copy unexplored. It will be available in November.
"As PLAYSTATION Network evolve with the recently established distribution of video games and more exclusive PS3 owners are asked about more capacity," said Jack Tretton, president and CEO of SCE. "Consumers are also available with the PS3 as a centre for digital home entertainment media, such as the contents of their entire music collection on your hard drive. Play TV on your PS3
Sony UK have confirmed that Play TV - the rather nifty Freeview TV tuner for the PS3 - will be released in the UK on Sept 19th. Play TV - which will cost 69.99 GBP - allows users to record Freeview TV onto their PS3 and will offer most of the standard PVR facilities that users of Sky + and Freeview equivalents from the likes of Humax will be used to. Think pausing, scheduling etc. PlayTV has two tuners, meaning you can record one channel while watching another, and games can apparently be played at the same time. Of course you have to think that most people who have a PS3 are early-ish adopters who are likely to already have a digital TV service of some sort. For me the clincher is the ability to easily transfer your recordings onto PSP* Anyone who tried this with standard PVRs will know how fiddly this can be. So PlayTV should make the morning commute a little more bearable. Expect more details from Sony at next week's Leipzig Game Convention. PS3 owners - tempted by PlayTV?
*Sony have told me that the only way to watch on your PSP is via Remote Play and not via direct transfer. Hmm. Remote Play is fine - and rather impressive - when you have a wifi connection but will be pretty useless for catching up with Eastenders on the bus or train to work. I'm hoping to get a PlayTV demo in the next couple of weeks but clearly the lack of direct transfer is a big big blow.

Uncharted Trophy Patch Released
The Naughty Dog devs have just released a new patch for their game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. The patch is available in all regions now and comes in at a 13mb download. Bringing with it a total of 48 new trophies, 47 of which are tied to medal system already in game. The final trophy (platinum) is achievable once unlocking all 47.
Go fire up your PS3's and start a new game. Because yes, the trophies are not retroactive, meaning you need to start all over. This was made to prevent people from cheating by simply downloading a save file and skipping their way to some free trophies. But hey it gives you a good reason to replay this awesome title.
If you still haven't picked up this awesome game yet, this should be even more reason do so. Now go pop in that disc and hunt down those trophies!!

LittleBigPlanet Comes to Japan
For those of you on the Japanese side of the planet, Sony’s official Japanese PS3 site (www.jp.playstation.com/scej/title/lbp) confirms that Little Big Planet is coming there on Oct. 30th for 5980 yen ($56). Sadly, there's no word yet on the release dates for the other parts of the planet. It is said on MCV (www.mcvuk.com/news/31412/LittleBigPlanet-dated) that there are sources that claim that the release dates for western territories are also in October, but there's no official release date yet.

Upset that the untimely death of Heath Ledger means you'll never see Batman battle The Joker again? Never fear, as Midway has just confirmed they'll both be playable characters in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.
The developer confirmed four new characters at the San Diego comic con over the weekend. According to IGN, they will be Shazam, Liu Kang, the Joker, Jax, Kitana, and the Green Lantern.
Some new gameplay modes were also revealed. A close combat feature allows players to get the camera up-close to the characters and trigger some hard hitting combo moves unavailable in normal play.
Freefall mode was also demoed, where characters knocked off the edge of an arena can continue fighting in mid air as they plummet down to the floor below.
Also mentioned was the reason Superman isn't invulnerable. He's susceptible to both kryptonite and magic, apparently.

PS3 Firmware 2.42 Released
Sony has just rolled out a new firmware update for the PlayStation 3, bringing us up to v2.42. Sony planned to release Life with PlayStation at the end of the month of July and I couldn't help but wonder if this update brought the said app. Although sadly it didn't bring Life with PlayStation. It looks like just another stability update for the PS3.
You can download the update by simply selecting the update icon on your PS3 or by downloading it from the link below. If anyone finds anything new in this update feel free to share it with the rest of us.

Well, for those who own the PS3 you may be interested to know that Sony is coming out with a new firmware, 2.42 or 2.50. Well if the PS3 owners don't know yet why Sony release 2.40 or 2.41, any firmware that has 2.41 is for bugs in the ps3, while the firmware that is 2.40 is for the big updates. At the moment we don't know which firmware Sony's going to release, that's why it's a rumor. According Ninjaraiden89 a member on the official PlayStation Forum, it will be launched on July 31 and will be firmware 2.50.
