2009 New York - Hyundai Nuvis Concept
The new Hyundai Nuvis concept is the 11th concept from the company’s California Design Center and provides a look into Hyundai’s ‘green’ future. Keeping in line with Hyundai’s goal to lead all brands in terms of fuel-economy by 2015, the new Nuvis concept is powered by Hyundai’s Hybrid Blue Drive architecture, which uses a lithium-ion battery technology.
Hyundai Hybrid Blue Drive architecture in the Nuvis concept consists of a parallel hybrid drive system and a 2.4L Theta II engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 30kW electric-motor.
That allows for a total of 228-hp while achieving a fuel-economy of 34/35 mpg (city/highway).
