Bollywood Verdict: After spending some successful time in Bollywood Industry, some of the Bollywood actors reach a point where they think that they should do something different. Also, at that stage they complain about illogical scripts coming their way. They have a lot of things to care about, their image, their fan following andimportantly – their personal interest. To do things their way, they become producers.
When Shah Rukh Khanthought on those lines and made Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, it failed miserably. It took a few attempts to establish his production house.
Like SRK, Arshad Warsi’s attempt is also an honest one. Hum Tum Aur Ghost is Warsi’s first venture as a producer. In the film, the Hum is Arshad (Armaan), Tum (Gehna) is Dia Mirzaand Ghost is a big world of good souls wandering around amidst living beings to fulfill their final dream.
Every day, Armaan wakes up at a railway station and drives to work in a mean machine. A photographer by profession, he is known for his spectacular clicks but his consistency in being late drives his employer crazy. How does he still manage to get work? Thanks to his friend Mini (Sandhya Mridul).
After work, he meets his love, Gehna, spends some time with her, gets drunk, and the next morning is again greeted by sweepers at the station. Why does he run away from his beautiful penthouse?
Gehna’s father Javed Sheikh hates his to-be son-in-law as he is an alcoholic. Gehna loves Armaan immensely but there is one thing about him that she doesn’t know. He can see ghosts, talk to them and at a later stage, also goes ahead and helps them in fulfilling their last wishes. He is selective, though.
